The ultimate punishment requires the ultimate scrutiny

As the Death Penalty is currently applied, innocent people and defendants not guilty of 1st degree murder are being executed. This information comes despite the statute in North Carolina that only individuals that are convicted of Capital Murder are eligible for the death penalty. This does not make any sense. We need to apply the ultimate scrutiny to this system to ensure that no person that does not belong on death row is ever housed there or much worse, executed. We need a moratorium on executions, now!
